- 1. Hitachi, Ltd. and GE signed a formation agreement on the establishment of new cross shareholding companies based on Novenber 2006 letter of intent to create a strategic global alliance for nuclear power business (May 2007).
- 2. Babcock-Hitachi acquired the boiler business from Babcock Borsig AG , and established Babcock-Hitachi Europe GmbH, which was renamed as Hitachi Power Europe GmbH (April, 2006).
- 3. Hitachi (China) Ltd. made Dalian Hitachi Baoyuan Machinery & Equipment Co., Ltd. a wholly owned subsidiary, and renamed it Dalian Hitachi Machinery & Equipment Co., Ltd. (June 2006).
Industrial Systems
- 1. Hitachi Plant Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. merged with Hitachi Kiden Kogyo Ltd., Hitachi Industries Co., Ltd. and related part of Hitachi, Ltd.'s Industrial Systems Group to strengthen social and industrial infrastructure systems business and renamed Hitachi Plant Technologies, Ltd. (April 2006).
