Information & Telecommunication Systems
The Information & Telecommunication Systems segment is active in a wide range of areas, from hardware such as communications infrastructure, hard disk drives and other storage products, to the provision of systems integration services based on these products and consulting services. The Hitachi Group leverages these IT capabilities to create new value for people everywhere.
Electronic Devices
The Electronic Devices segment utilizes the cutting-edge technologies of the entire Hitachi Group to create LCDs used in mobile phones, digital cameras and a wide variety of other digital devices. These technologies are used in other areas too, such as device manufacturing equipment vital to today's information society and medical and testing systems that support human health and better lives.
Power & Industrial Systems
Aiming to help create a better society for tomorrow, the Power & Industrial Systems segment uses its range of technologies and products built up over many years to develop and supply numerous products and services that underpin social infrastructure. Examples include power plants, railway systems, elevators and escalators, as well as key automobile components, industrial machinery and construction machinery.
Digital Media & Consumer Products
The Digital Media & Consumer Products segment draws on the Hitachi Group's state-of-the-art technologies to create flat-panel TVs, HDD/DVD camcorders and other digital consumer electronics that sit at the heart of the networked home. The segment also supplies all types of recording media and home appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines that make people's everyday lives more convenient. All the products provided by this segment generate new value in people's lives.
High Functional Materials & Components
The High Functional Materials & Components segment leverages its accumulated technologies and know-how to develop and supply a diverse range of components and materials such as specialty steels, magnetic materials, wires and cables, copper products, semiconductor and display materials, functional materials and synthetic resin products. All play an important role in enhancing the functionality of a broad range of products in the IT, consumer electronics, automotive and other fields.
Logistics, Services & Others
The Logistics, Services & Others segment conducts a range of logistics-related operations such as freight transport, warehousing and packing based on third-party logistics that ensures optimal solutions for individual customers.
The segment, via its overseas sales companies, also acts as the main point of contact for the Hitachi Group in international markets, providing a whole range of products and services tailored to customer needs.
Financial Services
The Financial Services segment works to satisfy both corporate and individual client needs through its extensive business activities, including leasing and loans, credit cards, securitization, financial servicing and insurance.
