Foundation

Since its establishment 90 years ago, Hitachi has provided quality products to society with the aim of enriching the quality of life under our corporate philosophy of contributing to society through business.

Our first foundation was established in 1967 based on this corporate spirit. Since then, a total of six foundations have been established both inside and outside Japan, for the explicit purpose of implementing social activities.

The Odaira Memorial Hitachi Education Foundation
	Promotion of family and school education, recognition of socially meritorious activities, etc.
The Hitachi Scholarship Foundation
	Invites promising university faculty members from Southeast Asian countries to Japan for study and research and promotes educational, academic and cultural exchanges.
The Hitachi Mirai Foundation
	Helping to prevent juvenile delinquency, improve the welfare of juveniles, and support the training and education of inmates in correctional institutions.
The Kurata Memorial Hitachi Science and Technology Foundation
	Support and promotion of science and technology research.
The Hitachi Environment Foundation
	Activities include research related to environmental problems and issues, and the promotion of activities to conserve and protect the environment.
The Hitachi Foundation
	Support for the development of American local society and educational activities.
