Hitachi, Ltd. baseball club held a junior baseball class at Hitachi City in April 2002.In total, 33 staff including managers, coaches, and players gave technical instruction to local boys to improve their skills. About 200 boys from 14 junior sports groups in the city participated. They received instruction mainly in basic actions, such as hitting, fielding play in both the in and outfield, and pitching. Before their own practice, they also observed a practice session at the baseball club. This baseball class is held annually to express our appreciation to the local residents for the encouragement that we have received.
