In the US, Community Action Committees(CAC) are used to encourage individual volunteers from the Hitachi group companies, which make donations to the local non-profit organizations, to do volunteer activities by making matching grants to fund various community activities.
In many cases may help Hitachi Companies and together with both man power and funding to maximize efforts in the community.
