HITACHI : Volunteer Activity Support

As part of supporting volunteer activities through the dissemination of information, Hitachi began holding Hitachi Volunteer Seminars to provide opportunities to experience volunteering as well as regularly participate in volunteer activities.
These seminars are held for employees of the Hitachi Group who have an interest in volunteering but do not know where to start. Developed and carried out in cooperation with the Tokyo Voluntary Action Center (TVAC), they are designed to 1) enable easy participation; 2) limit the number of participants to the extent that ensures quality dialogue between the instructor and participants; and, 3) cover the actual content of volunteer activities.
As a means of spurring interest among employees with regard to volunteer activities in the future, Hitachi will actively work to provide volunteer activities information over the intranet and focus efforts on planning and operation of upcoming Hitachi Volunteer Seminars.
