Appointment of Company Name and President
of New Integrated Company to Carry the Manufacturing Functions
of Information & Telecommunication Systems in Japan

Tokyo, August 7, 2013 - Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501) and its wholly owned two subsidiaries operating Hitachi's Information & Telecommunication Systems Company related businesses, Hitachi Computer Technology & Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Hitachi Storage Manufacturing, Ltd., today announced the appointment of the company name and president of new integrated company to carry the manufacturing functions of Information & Telecommunication Systems in Japan, which will be formed on October 1, 2013.
