Hitachi, Ltd. has manufactured a prototype of a 13.3-inch LCD display, featuring an ultra-wide angle, large-size, high-precision TFT (super TFT). The display is able to reproduce high-precision moving pictures, and interfaces with TVs and personal computers.
With the boom in popularity of multimedia personal computers and digital audio visual equipment, demand is growing for display devices, which are the key to any visual presentation, to display various media such as moving and still pictures on brighter and easier-to-see large screens.
This prototype model offers a thin, compact, wide-angle, easy-to-see large screen, and comes with an interface for TVs and personal computers.
