Hitachi, Ltd. has developed PC servers FLORA-SS1 and FLORA-SB1 which can mount two CPUs with highest speed 200MHz PentiumPro processors and a PC server FLORA-SA with a high-performance CPU based on a 166 MHz Pentium processor, and will put on sale 41 models of the three servers. Together with the presently selling FLORA-SM1, the FLORA-S Series now features 4 machine types and 79 models in total, which can cope with a broad range of customers' needs. In addition, a new middle tower type high-performance desktop series called FLORA-TM1 and slim notebook type high-resolution model FLORA-NS1 have been developed at the same time and will be released on 26 April.

Because the Web server software IIS (Internet Information Server) of Microsoft Corp. is built into the new WindowsNT model PC servers, these PC servers can be used as Internet Web servers.
