About the Job Management Partner 1 Suite
Hitachi's Job Management Partner 1 (JP1), available for UNIXR and Windows NT(R), is a powerful
suite of workload management tools designed to automate routine batch processing for small to
enterprise level distributed environments. Although tightly integrated as a total product solution, JP1
components can be easily integrated into existing environments. Components include flexible job
scheduling, batch management with load balancing, event management for notification/automated
response, and network print services. With deployments at more than 2500 corporations, JP1 holds
the top market share in Japan among systems management applications (source: IDC Japan, 1997
Japanese distributed system management software market).

JP1 automates routine-computing tasks such as manually initiating and monitoring jobs, freeing up
system administrators to address business critical initiatives. When system problems or exceptions do
occur, administrators can rely on JP1's event management capabilities to notify appropriate personnel
and/or initiate an automatic response to predefined system errors or exceptions. When combined with
JP1's batch management capabilities, companies benefit from being able to conserve networked
resources and reduce the need for future upgrade purchases. With JP1's integration to HP OpenView,
administrators can gain even more control over their operating environment. By using JP1
components, administrators can schedule jobs, centrally monitor job end status from their HP
OpenView console, and detect processing errors or exceptions immediately, responding appropriately
and increasing system availability for users of the network.

HPcertified Hitachi's Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Job Scheduler version 05-10 with HP
OpenView Network Node Manager 5.0 for Microsoft(R) Windows NT(R) 4.0. Job Management
