Tokyo, Japan, August 23, 2002 — Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE:6501, NYSE:HIT, Hitachi) today announced that Hitachi's Transportation Systems will participate in InnoTrans 2002, which will be held from September 24 to 27 this year at Messe Berlin. Our exhibition will include; A-train body mock-up, A-train front mask model, Shinkansen front structure sample, FSW sample, IGBT samples, multimedia information system, and ATI (Autonomous Train Information) System. Visitors will also have a chance to experience our driving simulators.
