Open network

The system is in an open network environment, thereby offering strong control and the ability to collect important information quickly.

Let's take the example of system engineering.
Hitachi control computer-S10α series provides users with future expandability and an open network environment, thereby helping you make a user-friendly system a reality. As part of such policy, we have adopted an international standard network [IEEE 802.3] and a PC low-level network (F link). This enables the quick collection of important information indispensable to monitoring and control. Important information essential for management is also effectively covered by a wide range of networks.

By mounting the ET link as an optional module on the 2α, 2αE and 2αH, you can build a LAN compliant with IEEE 802.3. TCP/IP is the communication protocol supported to facilitate the high-speed transfer of large amounts of data to the Hitachi control computer V90/5 series, personal computers and workstations.

PC low-level network : F link

By mounting an F link as an optional module on the 2α, 2αE and 2αH, you can build a PC low-level field network. The system is such that a barcode reader, printer, personal computer and/or other equipment can be installed remotely from the CPU, making the system ideally suited for collecting information from the field, and twisted pair cable ensures easy network wiring.
