ADS-net (Autonomous Decentralized System network) is one of the open industrial real-time networks according to ISO/IEC 8802-3 and is based on the ADS technology defined in ISO 15745-4 – Industrial automation systems and integration – Open systems application integration framework.
The ‘Autonomous Decentralized System’ concept, which Hitachi first proposed in 1977, has characteristic features that make it easy to construct industrial systems with the advantages of expandability, maintainability and increased reliability.
The concept and many products based on this concept have been applied to various fields such as industry or social infrastructure systems.
The 21st century is called the "Century of Water," which has serious problem of the imbalance water supply due to the uneven distribution of water because while water demand increases according to the global population increase, fresh water existing as water such as rivers and lakes is only 0.01% of water on the earth. For that reason, it is required more than before to supply clean water steadily according to the demand with the consideration of global environment.
The sysytem middleware makes the existing public infrastructure efficiently correspond with new infrastructure, such as renewable energy and EVs, and provides various services for consumers and public utility companies.
It enables one to realize the system for next-generation public infrastructure, such as smart-grid systems, intelligent water systems, and smart mobility systems.
