[2015 Hitachi Environment Month]
Clarion Farmington Hills Office Installs Bat Houses

March 28, 2015

  • Environment

Bats typically roost under the bark of a dead tree or other crevices. However, due to habitat loss, this is often not an available resource. Clarion Corporation of America installed bat houses that provide a safe and secure home for bats to roost during the day and to raise their young.
Bats help farmers and gardeners by eating insect pests. More bats eating insects mean less pesticide use in our environment. An individual bat can eat thousands of insects in just one night!
