Hitachi has been awarded “The Silver Award” of “The first ESG Finance Award Japan, Environmentally Sustainable Company category” organized in 2019 by Ministry of the Environment Government of Japan.
“ESG Finance Award Japan” is an award given for the purpose of honoring the advanced efforts of institutional investors, financial institutions, intermediaries and companies that have made active efforts for and had an impact on ESG finance or environmental and social businesses.
The evaluation points for Hitachi include that we have emphasized the solution of social issues by business, conducted PDCA through Long-term Environmental Targets stated in “Hitachi Environmental Innovation 2050” and the environmental action plans created every three years for the achievement, had a group governance system to spread sustainability management into the entire group, and held an ESG briefing which we presented the acceptance of feedbacks from investors.
We will continually make efforts to develop and spread widely our environmentally conscious products and services to help realize a sustainable society.
