Effective activity management and policy development is being promoted through the launch of an Energy Conservation Committee under the direct control of the President.
Hitachi Consumer Products (Thailand) provides consumer electronics to aim to enrich the people's lives in Thailand and ASEAN countries, and is growing to meet the demands of changing lifestyles. The main focus of this factory is the reduction of electricity and LP gas consumption. In order to achieve this goal, an "Energy Conservation Committee" was launched to manage and establish energy conservation activities and policies. This committee plays a central role in implementing changes, such as replacing old equipment such as boilers with high-efficiency equipment, introducing inverter controlled fans to the painting process, and adopting LED lighting on the premises. A variety of energy conservation initiatives are also implemented to heighten each individual employee's awareness towards energy conservation, such as automatically turning off all lights during lunch break, and energy patrols. Additionally, a follow-up on energy conservation activities is conducted every month to continuously promote the energy conservation activities.
