Interviews and report by Masahiro Chiba

Ritsuko Hirano  School teacher in charge of a 1st grader class, Oyamazaki Elementary School
I took 80 six graders to the Kyoto Works of Hitachi Maxell, Ltd. last year as part of our environmental lessons. I could not fully concentrate on the factory tour at that time, and so I am looking forward to visiting the factory again.
Maiko Tominaga  School teacher in charge of a 1st grader class, Oyamazaki Elementary School
I was posted to Oyamazaki Elementary School this year, and was surprised by the active environmental lessons at the school. Also, children have a lot of opportunity to get close to the earth. Taking this opportunity, I will try to learn more about the environment.
Mayumi Kaneko  Senior student, Faculty of Human Environment, Kyoto Prefectural University
I feel relaxed these days because I was recruited as a prospective employee at an architectural office in Kyoto. Environmentally conscious design is what I am aiming for, and it would be nice if I could find some hints during the factory tour.
Hitomi Nakamura  Senior student, Faculty of Human Environment, Kyoto Prefectural University
At a university seminar course, I am studying approaches for conserving the local environment. I will try to find a direction to combine factories with the richness of nature based on free ideas and angles as a student.
