Voltage fluctuation suppression function

Control method and control system operation

Automatically adjusts the output power factor to suppress fluctuations in output voltage. These are caused by the changing power output of the PCS due to varying light levels. (Power factor auto-tuning function)

Constant output power factor function

The PCS can operate with a constant output power factor.
This function is useful when the grid is able to specify the desired power factor.

Constant reactive power function

The PCS can operate with constant reactive power output.

The impact of PCSs shutting down to protect themselves from transient voltage fluctuations can include outages on the grid. It is desirable for PCSs to continue operating as far as possible.
The FRT functions on Hitachi PCSs can cope with various types of fault (1LG, 2LG, 2LS, and 3LS) with residual positive-phase voltages of 35% or more and voltage drops lasting up to 200ms.
