At the Production Engineering Research Laboratory, we aim to become "a best solution partner" in the development of manufacturing technologies based on "knowledge" and "information technologies (IT)". We have promoted to develop manufacturing technologies, targeted mainly at the manufacturing sector, which realize high quality products rapidly and cost-competitively.
In the furtherance of these goals, we are seeking new solutions to improve efficiency in every aspect of our business, including sales, procurement, manufacturing and logistics. This requires technology development itself, and also timely development of the system that is stable, reproducible and reliable. Another our high-priority task is ensuring that manufacturing systems are safe and environmentally friendly.
We have been dedicating ourselves to developing the most advanced production technologies in the world and to putting them to practical use, in order to meet the diverse needs of our customers, not only in conjunction with the business and research divisions of the Hitachi Group but also in collaboration with domestic and overseas universities and research institutes
