Explanation

Ad-hoc network is a self-configuring network of mobile routers connected by wireless links forming an arbitrary topology independent of telephone circuits, mobile phone networks, the Internet, or other specific network infrastructures. This independence of specific network infrastructures makes ad-hoc networks particularly useful in the event of typhoons, earthquakes, and other emergency situations.
