Explanation

Big data is used to describe complex "data constellations" in massive amounts that cannot be handled by conventional data-processing systems. It includes unstructured data such as that composing sound, video, and images.
As the number of devices connected to the internet (such as smartphones and tablets as well as communication modules embedded in machinery) increases rapidly, the amount of data being created every day is becoming increasingly massive and varied. Moves to exploit that data in the form of a business for grasping market trends—by gathering and analyzing the massive amount of data being created daily (so-called "big data")—are gathering pace on a business-to-business basis.
