Explanation

Aiming to lighten the management tasks concerning network-attached storage (NAS) established at several locations, "cloud on-ramp" is a configuration that utilizes a cloud environment so that data can be used efficiently. By making NAS the entrance to the cloud, as its name suggests, cloud on-ramp makes it possible to automatically consolidate data stored at those NAS's to data centers and uniformly manage data spread around several NAS locations in a company.
