Explanation

Software which enables large numbers of users to share files over a network. Almost all file-sharing software use peer-to-peer communications, and called P2P file-sharing software. Some examples are Winny, Winnyp, and Perfect Dark.
In recent years, incidents of information leakage and copyright violation have become a societal issue, creating demand for ways to combat non-legitimate use of such file-sharing software.
