Explanation

Garbage collection is a scheme for automatically erasing unnecessary data from memory. It is offered as a standard with Java virtualization machines (an execution environment of Java systems). When garbage collection is installed, the developer does not have to incorporate a process for erasing unnecessary data from memory into a Java system, thereby reducing the work-hours involved in system development.
