Indoor Messaging System
The Indoor Messaging System, or IMES, is a specification developed by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) designed to provide accurate positioning indoors where reception of GPS is blocked or unreliable. IMES uses extremely low power radio defined by the Radio Law, and therefore does not require a license to deploy or operate.
