Explanation

Location-based services use location information concerning of the target device in question obtained through positioning technology such as GPS. Some examples of available services are child monitoring to and from school and present-location confirmation of trains, taxis, and so on (so-called "tracking" services), receiving route directions ("navigation" services), inventory handling, and advertising. It is anticipated that new services will be developed in a broad range of fields other than these.
