Explanation

A POS (point of sales) system is a means of recording and utilizing various kinds of information at the time a product is sold in a shop. Information such as product name, price, quantity, and time are recorded, and the accumulated results are utilized for inventory management and marketing. In the case that a traceability system is set up, the responsibility for the downstream components of traceability, such as ascertaining the destination of individual products, is carried by the POS system.
