Case Study

On October 2016, Tokyu Corporation launched the Eki-Shi-Vision app for smartphones and tablets. This service allows customers to check the congestion at Tokyu line stations in real-time. This service has been developed basing on Hitachi's technology that analyzes the stream of people. By sending the picture in real-time congestion of Tokyu line stations, this service enables train users to adjust the riding time, and select the alternative route of the train.

Case Study

Daiichi Seimei created the concept "InsTech" (Insurance x Technology) in 2015, and promotes the concept as the top priority strategic issue of the Daiichi Seimei group. And Hitachi has started creating the Business Innovation of InsTech with Daiichi Seimei. The first collaboration is the development of the "Evaluation Model." By analyzing medical Big Data from 10,000,000 patients, this new model can predict the possibility of hospitalization and the period of stay considering the chronic diseases of the potential subscribers. This new model also improved the standards of insurance acceptance, and expanded the range of the subscribers. Hitachi will develop products that respond well to customers' needs and expand our services.

Demonstration

Hitachi's human symbiotic service robot, was invited to participate in the VIP Halcyon Dialogue Robotics Showcase held on the September 28, 2017. EMIEW3 was developed as a human symbiotic robot, to provide services in a human-centric environment, such as supporting or guiding people in public facilities. The Robotics team at the Global Center for Social Innovation - North America (CSI-NA), was joined by colleagues from CTI-ME in Japan, to demonstrate some of EMIEW3's capabilities.

Case Study

To adapt to the rapid change of the market in the manufacturing industry, it is required to shorten the development period of manufacturing, to realize the Digital Factory that improves the quality of products, and transfer skills from expert workers. Daikin has embarked on digitalization of skills from expert workers that are necessary to make air conditioners by using Hitachi's Image Analyzing System. Daikin will promote co-creation with Hitachi to improve the workers' skills and materialize the Digital Factory.

Proof of Concept Demonstration

This is a field test of guidance service using a humanoid robot "EMIEW 3" held at Haneda Airport in October 2017. EMIEW 3 learns new phrases by providing facility/store guidance and taking a customer to his destination.[
