Large-scale video-surveillance system
We are carrying out research and development on video surveillance aimed at providing safe and secure building spaces. This work involves developing technologies such as technology for monitoring images from multiple cameras and technology for automatically detecting abnormal behaviors in video images.

Our research covers a diverse range of fields-such as platforms for large-scale video surveillance (i.e., system platforms), components (i.e., system parts), and applications.
Surveillance-use video recorder
| Platform | A platform for efficiently monitoring images from several cameras is being developed. A key point in regards to effectively utilizing available bandwidth is determining the "level of importance" of each captured image and preferentially transmitting those imaged deemed "high importance" ones. |
