  As public transportation systems, railways must always offer a high level of convenience and reliability. As a railway total supplier, Hitachi offers a variety of railway systems that range from train cars and , train control systems to and operations systems and to train power supply systems.
In recent years, we have developed a digital ATC system for the Tokyo area commuter line and the Tohoku Shinkansen and the Kiha E200 series, the world's first commercial hybrid train cars. We also developed an optical IP-based network railways signal system and other such systems.

  In the future, too, we will continue with research on railway systems that use the latest technology for energy-saving operations control and passenger information systems.
