Research into methodologies based on MDA (Model Driven Architecture)* is being conducted to support problem solving and risk reduction in software development. These new methods will enable developers to reduce their work-time by using a transformation engine to semi-automate the system development process from requirement analysis to application/system design, and enable efficient and accurate evaluation of specifications from the various perspectives of stakeholders (end-users, system managers, executives).
