Providing sound foundations for an information society through advanced security technology
Safety and security in an information society begins with high information security. At Hitachi, we are concentrating on enhancing security systems and forensic technology. For example, whilst biometric authentication technology which employs physical characteristics such as veins and fingerprints, is rapidly gaining widespread acceptance, issues such as how to combat information leaks and manage personal privacy remain unresolved. At Hitachi, we have applied image conversion technology to enhance confidentiality of personal data used in biometric authentication.
