Storage Architecture

Research on advanced storage architectures which provide high performance and high reliability is being pursued. The Universal Star Network Architecture with high performance crossbar switches connecting host-side control packages and drive-side control packages to one another, was developed; achieving worldwide top performance. Various technologies for high reliability, such as making all components fully redundant, are also being pursued. At Hitachi, we will continue research on innovative storage architectures for improving performance and reliability.
