Cryptographic Technologies

Research Overview

Three encryption algorithms developed at SDL have been adopted as current ISO/IEC standards: (a) MUGI^*, a high performance stream cipher; (b) MULTI-S01, a stream cipher mode of operation with integrity awareness, and (c) HIME(R), a high efficiency asymmetric cipher with provable security. Currently, research is being conducted on hash algorithms and signature schemes, as well as tamper resistance of cryptographic devices and small or fast implementations of cryptographic algorithms.
