PKI Framework for Supporting the Security of Mobile Communication from its Core

To ensure the security of e-commerce and e-government procedures performed under a mobile environment, it is necessary to authenticate all the players that appear in such an environment. And a promising way to meet this need is based on a framework called a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

In the current article, Tadashi Kaji of the 7th Research Department of Systems Development Laboratory, Hitachi, Ltd. --who is continuing research and development on various security technologies in the internet fiel--talks about his work in two main areas: the latest trends in mobile computing, and the latest technologies for building a security platform for backing up such computing.
