The demand for presentations using a PC and LCD projector in schools and businesses has recently increased. LCD projectors that are portable and easy to set up without any complicated alignment, and are capable of projecting bright images even in a lighted room have already been manufactured. Since notebook PCs use SVGA (Super Video Graphics Array)1) resolution rather than VGA (Video Graphics Array),2) Hitachi, Ltd. is now manufacturing a CP-L750 LCD projector which can display full SVGA clearly.
The CP-L750 uses three 1.3-inch polysilicon thin film transistor (TFT) LCD panels. It features an original improved high-brightness optical system to provide a 500-lm image brightness and is 25% more compact than the previous model. The front exhaust fan system and inner projection lens design have been established by the color system using a dichroic prism, an illumination system with concave lens, and multi-lenses in alignment. The CP-L750 has various features which support presentations. It supports a wide range of resolutions from VGA to compressed or windowed XGA (Extended Graphics Array),3) and video, and features a remote controller with mouse function for operating PCs.
