To date, Hitachi has mainly focused on the nuclear business market in Japan. However, the environment surrounding the nuclear business has changed substantially in the past several years. With the reassessment of nuclear power generation on a global basis, many countries have restarted nuclear development and are considering the introduction of new plants. It is necessary for the development of Hitachi's nuclear business that we steadily move toward entry into the global market which is expected to expand in the future.
