Explanation

Biometric identification that can check and manage biometric information in an encrypted form as it is.
Biometric information is invariable over a person's lifetime and cannot be changed in the manner of a password. Consequently, it is a problem that once such information is leaked, it cannot be used a second time for authentication. Since encrypted biometric data is used as it is, cancellable biometrics makes it possible to change information used for authentication any number of times by simply replacing the encryption key. That means a key feature of cancellable biometrics is that even if information is leaked, the leaked information can be cancelled.
