Explanation

One type of integrated circuit. Since the FPGA can be rewritten after fabrication, the merits of a FPGA include ease of updating functions and changing configuration. Moreover, its strong point is parallel processing, so it is particularly effective in the case that a large number of input signals are processed at once. FPGAs are utilized in a broad range of fields—starting with digital-signal processing and including cipher-breaking and metal detection.
