Polybutylene terephthalate(PBT) is a general-purpose engineering plastic made through polycondensation of PTA with 1,4-butanediol (BDO). This material has many outstanding properties: resistance to both heat and chemicals, electrical qualities, dimensional stability and formability; it does not absorb flavors, and it blocks ultraviolet radiation. It is also non-flammable. For all these reasons, it is finding a wide variety of applications in the electrical, electronic and automotive industries.We have own licenses for an economical polycondensation process for producing polybutylene terephthalate(PBT).

Process characteristics

Our polybutylene terephthalate(PBT) process technology achieves polycondensation reactions at low temperatures by using esterificaltion in our proprietary, efficiently-heated equipment, and the mixing equipment for highly viscous fluids that have been one of our specialties for many years.
This process results in the following properties.

  1. Production of polybutylene terephthalate(PBT) with little color adherence.
  2. Possible to switch quality grades at short intervals.
  3. Possible to produce a wide range of products
