Hitachi

The Hitachi Group of companies in North America has contributed $1 million to the U.S. Red Cross to support rescue/recovery work and to aid activities in support of victims of the September 11th terrorism. Simultaneously, support has been rendered to help confirm the identity of victims using a DNA sequencer at a medical organization in New York City, as well as the donation of heavy duty metal cutting hardware and demolition hammers etc.

Furthermore, employees mainly of Hitachi America which supervises the North America region, freely gave blood and other donations as well as engaging in volunteer activities to support victims.

The Hitachi Foundation in Washington D.C., U.S. separately contributed $50,000 to the American Red Cross as well.
