We shall handle personal information provided by ESG Management Support Service as follows.

  1. Purpose of Use of Personal Information
      Personal information provided in the registration will be used for the following purposes.
    • Account registration for using the Service
    • Login to the Service and management of login status
    • Provision of the Service
    • Analysis to improve the Service
      • Personal information provided for service inquiry will be used for the following purposes.
    • Investigation and response to inquiries

    • Cases in which the handling of personal information is necessary for the protection of the life, body, or property of an individual and in which it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person.
    • Cases in which it would be difficult to obtain the individual's consent and in which it is deemed necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of child welfare.
    • Cases in which the provision of personal data is necessary for cooperating with a state institution, a local public body, or an individual or entity entrusted by one in executing the operations prescribed by laws and in which obtaining the consent of the person might impede the execution of the operations concerned.

    The handling of personal information obtained through the Service may be outsourced to the extent required to achieve the purpose of use.

    A person can request disclosure of own personal information provided by the Service,
    and as a result of disclosure, it is also possible to make a request for deletion, correction, complaint, etc. about personal information.

  8. About Providing Personal Information
    Customers' disclosure of personal information is optional for registering to the Service.
    However, please understand that without providing this personal information, you will not be able to use the Service.
  9. Information acquired by methods that the individual cannot easily perceive
    Hitachi uses cookies*1 and web beacons (clear GIF)*2 on part of the Service for the convenience of users.
    A person can refuse to receive a cookie, or enable display of a warning message when receiving a cookie by changing their web browser settings.
    For more details, please refer to the instructions for the web browser you are using.
    Furthermore, a person can reject a web beacon by changing the settings to refuse receipt of a cookie.
    However, please note that if you refuse to accept cookies, you may not be able to use all or part of the services provided by the Service.

    Information exchanged between the web server that controls a website and the web browser that a person uses.
    Cookies can be saved as files on a person's PC. If you accept a cookie, the web server can track and record information about which pages on the website a particular computer visits and others.
    However, the person cannot be identified unless he or she enters personal information on the website.

    Web beacons:
    Technology that functions with a cookie to check how many times a person accesses a particular page.
    However, the person cannot be identified unless he or she enters personal information while receiving cookies.

    If you are age 14 or younger, please receive the consent of a parent or guardian before entering your personal information.
