One method for viewing three-dimensional images. Images are viewed while wearing glasses with an openable and closeable shutter fitted to the lenses. The mechanism works by closing the right shutter when the image for the left eye is shown and by closing the left shutter when the image for the right eye is shown. In this manner, only the left-eye image is shown to the left eye, and only the right-eye image is shown to the right eye. As a result, the disparity between the left-eye image and right-eye image is perceived as depth, and the image appears to be three-dimensional.
