The Hitachi USB Finger Vein Biometric Scanner
“H-1” (model name PC-KCA110), enhances IT security by providing a more accurate method of user authentication over password entry. Unauthorised system access through impersonation or password cracking is eliminated. The device connects directly via USB port to a PC running Windows® Operating System.
The “H-1” device dispatches near infrared rays from the top of the finger, with the transmitted light captured by a camera below. The device hood prevents external light from streaming in, which increases authentication accuracy.
There is a notched pedestal within the device designed for stable resting of the finger. This ensures comfortable and correct usage.
The data transmitted to and from the host PC is securely encrypted.
Hitachi Secure BioAPI Software Development Kit
Our Software Development Kit (SDK) provides a BioAPI compliant environment for developing software applications to interface with the “H-1”.
Finger Vein Authentication System for Server and Clients
A centralised finger vein authentication system can be used for a variety of client-server functions, such as Windows® logon, screen saver startup/cancellation, and logging on to specific business applications.
