Explanation

An "electronic tag" is a tag incorporating an IC chip and antenna for transmitting and receiving data. It is also referred to as an "IC tag". Identification information can be stored on the IC chip and read from the chip by wireless communication. The electronic tag can be used to identify people and goods, so it is expected to function as a replacement for bar codes used in fields such as distribution and food products.
