Explanation

An information history agent is an element of the information history management technology developed by Hitachi Ltd. It is software running on client PCs, file servers, e-mail servers, etc. in companion with the "information history management server." Operation logs for equipment, which information history agent was installed in, are collected and transmitted to the information history management server. The information history agent for client PCs also collects text information of files handled by PCs and sends them to the information history management server. This makes it possible to search for text included in files when data is searched for in the server.
