Explanation

Targeted attacks represent cyber-attacks conducted against specific companies, organizations or other specified targets, with the objective of stealing money or acquiring confidential information in an unlawful manner. Such attacks are elaborately devised in many ways to achieve their various objectives.

A well-known means of attack is to send e-mails with malware attached. The sender, disguised as a person related to the receiver, sends a text apparently related to certain work, tricking the receiver into running the malware.

In addition, some malware used in the attacks behave artfully to deceive the targeted parties, such as staying hidden and dormant for some time after successfully invading.
