Explanation

A camera ("webcam" for short) that allows live scenes to be viewed on a PC and other devices in real time. An example application of webcams is weather forecasts, where they are used for fixed-point observation of weather conditions.
In the case that the webcam is connected directly to a PC, it uses a USB connection as an interface. Moreover, if a network interface is used, live images can be viewed from internet or intranet environments.
