Highly reliable real-time control systems, including the real-time automatic control of signalers/points and the assistance of rescheduling through the forecast of train diagrams, support the high-speed, high-density, accurate, and stable transportation of shinkansen trains.

SIRIUS : High speed train control system for the Kyushu Shinkansen lines

SIRIUS

SIRIUS has been in operation from the time of partial opening of the Kyushu Shinkansen Kagoshima route in 2004. It enabled connection control with the conventional lines at the partial opening (between Shin-Yatsushiro and Kagoshima Chuo) and responded to direct interaction with Sanyo Shinkansen since it opened completely (between Hakata and Kagoshima-Chuo) in 2011. Thus its main feature is smooth cooperation with other systems.

COMTRAC : High speed train control system for the Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen lines

COMTRAC accumulated function improvements up to now since it was installed in Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen simultaneously with the extension from Shin-Osaka Stn. to Okayama Stn. in 1972. Recently its function was enhanced in March 2011 as a response to the interconnection with Kyusyu Shinkansen.
