Government Initiatives for Energy

National Hydrogen Mission

Mission aims to make India a Global Hub for production, utilization and export of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives. The Government of India seeks to achieve total green hydrogen production capacity of at least 5 MMT (Million Metric Tonne) per annum by 2030 with an associated renewable energy capacity addition of about 125 GW in the country.

Dedicated Green Energy Corridor

A transmission network in India that aims to facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources into the national grid and to enable the large-scale transmission of clean energy across the country.

National Solar Mission

Aims to accelerate the development and deployment of solar energy in the country, with a goal of promoting energy security and reducing India’s dependence on fossil fuels, as well as to address the challenges of climate change.

Off-Grid and Decentralized Solar PV Applications Programme

Aims to promote the use of off-grid and decentralized solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in rural and urban areas where it is not economically viable or technically feasible to connect to the grid.

Rail Mobility

Driving Sustainable Rail Mobility
 

Hitachi Rail India is putting its integrated rail solutions, comprising energy-efficient rolling stock, rail signalling, and train control and management, into action through collaborative co-creation to usher digital and green railways. Hitachi Rail has partnered with Indian Railways in accomplishing several milestones such as India’s largest Electronic Interlocking (EI) system at Juhi Yard and Signalling and Telecommunication for the landmark Western Dedicated Freight Corridor that are playing a significant role in reducing carbon emissions, enhancing passenger safety and comfort for an improved travel experience.
 

Further, Hitachi Rail is supporting the emergence of a robust urban transport infrastructure to decongest mobility in rapidly growing cities and lower carbon emissions. For instance, Hitachi’s proven Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) rail signalling is powering Metros such as Noida Metro, Kolkata Metro, Mumbai Metro, and Navi Mumbai Metro to facilitate seamless mobility across the city and advance sustainable economic growth of the regions.

Hitachi offers a complete Electric Vehicle (EV) portfolio comprising EV charging solutions, automotive components, and battery innovations to drive the sustainable growth of EV industry and increased adoption of EVs by fleets and individual owners.

Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) trinity

Aims to provide every citizen with a bank account, a unique identification number (Aadhaar), and a mobile phone.

Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY)

Aims to provide banking services to all households in the country with universal access to financial services such as Banking/ Savings & Deposit Accounts, zero balance accounts, Remittance, Credit, Insurance, Pension in an affordable manner.

National Strategy for Financial Inclusion

An ambitious strategy devised by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for the period 2019-2024. Aims to strengthen the ecosystem for various modes of digital financial services in all Tier II to Tier VI centres.

Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM)

Aims to create India’s Digital Health Ecosystem by connecting the digital health solutions of hospitals across the country with each other.

Digitally Transforming Health Infrastructure

Utilizing Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Hitachi MGRM Net is offering its state-of-the-art M-StarTM Health e-Governance Platform which enables seamless collaboration between all hospital departments and automates and re-engineers the existing manual processes thereby bringing operational excellence and enhanced patient care.

Further, Hitachi’s Health e-Governance platform has received certification from National Health Authority for Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) M1, M2 and M3 integration. The platform can be used for Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) ID creation, ABHA ID verification, share Personal health records via a Personal Health Records (PHR) App and provide Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to healthcare workers with patient consent, thereby supporting the creation of integrated digital health infrastructure of the country.

Remote Healthcare through Telemedicine

Hitachi MGRM Net is bringing affordable healthcare to inaccessible areas through its innovative solutions such as its lightweight, sleek, and portable Bluetooth enabled Telemedicine Kit which can be installed at various e-PHCs (Primary Health Centres) and contains basic things like blood pressure monitor, pulse oximeter, foetal doppler, electrocardiogram (ECG), etc.
 

Further, Hitachi is accelerating the adoption of Telemedicine services across the country through its M-Star TelemedTM Platform which provides a 360-degree care approach to patients and seamlessly connects them to doctors. While patients can access medical records, upload reports, get on-demand appointments, and SMS/email notifications, doctors can get one-click access, view their scheduled appointments, patient queue, and patient’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Hitachi's solutions are ensuring that people living in remote areas can access quality healthcare and benefit from the government’s progressive healthcare schemes like Ayushman Bharat.

SDG 4 - “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”

Government of India Initiatives for Education:

National Policy on Education (NPE)-2020

Proposes the revision and revamping of all aspects of the education structure, including its regulation and governance, promote each student’s holistic development in both academic and non-academic spheres, multidisciplinarity and a holistic education across the sciences, social sciences, arts, humanities, and sports for a multidisciplinary world.

One of the largest restoration projects in the country to clean the river. YAP has three Action Plans with YAP-III currently under execution, involving rehabilitation of Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs) and construction of new WWTPs

Clean India Campaign/Swachh Bharat

The Clean India Campaign, also known as Swachh Bharat, is a nationwide cleanliness campaign in India that aims to clean up the streets, roads, and infrastructure of India’s cities, towns, and rural areas, which further improves the quality of life for all citizens.
